LUX TERRA HOLDS LEADERSHIP TRAINING FOR REX CHRISTUS PREFECTS

The prefects and senior students of the Rex Christus College, Kubwa, FCT, have been exposed to leadership skills and tips by the Lux Terra Leadership Foundation in a training workshop. The training which took place in the school premises on Tuesday the 7th of May, 2024, was at the instance of the Principal of the school, Rev. Fr. Lazarus-Mary Ishaku.

Identifying the need to further equip the students with leadership skills among others as they take up their roles as the prefects and seniors of the school, the workshop was organised and executed in such a way as to meet these needs and build the students’ capacity to be effective leaders. The modules and exercises undertaken were tailored to various topics which include Young People and Ideal Leadership, Tips on Becoming Trendsetters, Tips on Becoming Highly Effective Students, Prefects as First Among Equals and some more. There was also a pep talk and an interactive session which afforded the opportunity to listen to the students’ observations, questions and experiences.

Facilitating the training was the team from Lux Terra Leadership Foundation which included Rev. Fr. Richard Ehusani, Dr. Inya Ode, Mr. Robinson Okeke, Ms Nwa Akabogu, Mr. Michael Babajide, Mr. Jacob Ajetunmobi and Mr. Francis Tokede. Also in attendance were the school’s Assistant Counsellor, Mr. Moses Ugiya, and some support staff of the school. The principal of the school was also in attendance briefly.
