LUX TERRA LEADERSHIP FOUNDATION MAKES FLASH VISITS TO SCHOOLS

Lux Terra Leadership Foundation, on Wednesday 6th and Thursday 7th April 2022, paid visits to two schools in furtherance of her efforts to intensify the campaign for greater integrity in Nigeria. The two schools visited were Our Lady of Apostles Girls’ College, Akwanga (an all-girls school) and St. Peter’s College, Garaku (an all-boys school), both in Nasarawa State.

The visits, which aimed at touching base with the entire school communities after the intensive workshops held for them earlier in the year, afforded the members of staff, students and the Lux Terra team the opportunity to further evaluate the impact of the workshops within the schools so far. The interactions included creative ways to sustain and deepen the successes already recorded and tackle the challenges still being posed within the schools. Furthermore, the students were encouraged as they were going on holidays to not just live out the values they have learnt but to positively influence others and to stay true to the Integrity Pledge which they took.

The management, staff and students of both schools expressed their excitement over the work the foundation has been doing with them and appreciated the efforts and resources so far invested in their schools. They stated that the visits serves as greater impetus for them to further live lives that are consistent with their religious beliefs.

OLA Girls’ College and St. Peter’s College, Garaku are two of the schools which Lux Terra Leadership Foundation has been working with in order to make them centres of excellence in integrity, accountability and character formation.
