The Lux Terra Leadership Foundation is engaging the general public in a massive voter sensitisation exercise. This exercise is a continuation of its drive for nation building through free, fair, peaceful, transparent, violence-free, inclusive and credible elections.
The Foundation has over the years engaged Nigerians on various aspects of nation building through its varioius channels, especially social media platforms. It has also educated Nigerians on the 2022 Electoral Act through various write ups and videos. Using the weekly feature titled Advocacy Thursday on social media, the Foundation has reached a great number of Nigerians who have also shared their ideas, opinions and questions regarding the electoral process.
In the run up to the 2023 polls, the Lux Terra Leadership Foundation began issuing videos to educate Nigerians on various aspects of the electoral process. The videos touch on areas such as PVC collection drive, going out to vote on election day, things to expect on election day, things to avoid on election day, advocacy and promotion of peace during and after the elections, orderliness on election day, voting correctly, correct use of the ballot paper and many other thematic areas.
These videos and the accompanying write ups have been shared widely on the Foundation’s social media platforms and through peer-to-peer distribution. They have also been generating ideas and opinions among Nigerians who have been freely sharing these as comments on the videos. More videos are still being produced by the Foundation in furtherance of its drive to sensitise Nigerians on proper electioneering and leadership succession in the country.
